Fence Project

Dear Friends, Family, and Community:

We hope this letter finds you well. Our team would like to share with you the work we are providing to the community. We also want to share the obstacles that we are facing and ask for your support. This is an opportunity for us to come together and serve the underprivileged in our city with their transportation needs.

Wrench It Forward is a nonprofit aimed to move people out of poverty and homelessness by providing low-cost car repair for households with limited means through a qualifying application process.

“Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:10

2021 IMPACT

  • 110 people served
  • 240 services
  • 6 vehicles awarded
  • Clients saved $14,000.00 in diagnosis fees
  • Clients saved $17,260.00 in labor fees
  • Clients saved $9,387.46 in part fees
  • Total savings of $40,647.46 to those we served

    Recently we have had a few break-ins at the shop and in our yard where we store donated vehicles. Intruders are cutting the chain-link fence and vandalizing the donated vehicles intended for families in need of transportation.

    We are respectfully asking great people, businesses, churches, clubs, foundations, and families to help us overcome this obstacle by building a security fence to eliminate this problem.

    Fence Security Project Budget

    • Move donated vehicles to a secure sight $2,000.00 normally $4,000.00
    • Remove old fence with new 7’ metal fence $23,000.00 normally $36,000.00
    • Lay asphalt $25,000.00 normally $35,000.00
    • Total $50,000.00 savings of $25,000.00

    This project is vital to the success of WIF to secure vehicles from being vandalized and making unnecessary repairs.
